Carlton’s legal team got Patrick Cripps a Brownlow Medal with a jump through a legal loophole so perfect Nadia Comaneci applauded it, and several months later, Dangerous Tackle challenges were 0/17 at the AFL Tribunal in 2023, the most recent being Luke Parker’s failed challenge earlier this afternoon, and Adam Cerra was up for a 1-match suspension for dumping Tom Hickey…
THEN CARLTON’S LAWYERS WENT THUMP.

Best afield Peter O’Farrell had the AFL and the Tribunal up the creek when he noted this about Tom Hickey:
“The hair on this particular player is an unhelpful distraction and we ask you not to be distracted by it.”
Evidently the Tribunal were distracted by it, because Adelaide’s Rory Laird challenged his Dangeous Tackle suspension an hour later and joined Cerra in the winners circle.
So that’s 2/19 successful Dangerous Tackle challenges in 2023…
It’s still a better percentage than the Celtics’ 3-point shooting performance this morning.
