I wonder what this guy would’ve thought of the Collingwood vs Adelaide game

After the Collingwood vs Adelaide Semi-Final of 2009 ended with Jack Anthony earning a holding free kick and goaling to give the Magpies a 5-point win in the final minute, a certain Crows fan made an all-time legend of himself with this comment on the Sunday evening news:

Now, fast forward to today, and there was this particular moment in the final quarter at the MCG which led to Nick Daicos getting a 50 metre penalty and goal in a game Collingwood went on to win by 2 points, doubling their winning margin over Adelaide from Round 7:

Yes, effectively Daicos and Pendlebury told an umpire he’d made the wrong decision, got him to correct it, which could the first time a player has successfully convinced an umpire to change his mind during a game in the last 125 years of football, leading directly to a goal that could cause a butterfly effect that lasts a generation.

In fact, I think I’ve answered my own question, because I think I do know what that Croweater would’ve said when the siren went:

Although, blaming umpires is for pissants, because I saw Adelaide kick themselves out of the game in the 1st, 2nd and 4th Quarters….

RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME.
