Turned out to be the winning goal in a game decided by 4 points, and what a superb kick it was, and in the process Sidebottom and Scott Pendlebury also now hold the record for the longest gap between premierships by a player, at 13 years between drinks.

Another fun fact – Sidebottom also kicked Collingwood’s last goal in the 2011 Grand Final, although that was to the City End…

And Collingwood lost.
