20 years since the last commercial flight of the Concorde

On October 24, 2003, Concorde G-BOAG (214), Flight 002, landed at London Heathrow just after 4pm local, shortly after G-BOAF (216) and G-BOAE (212) had landed, bringing an end of the first age of commercial supersonic air travel.

One of the greatest feats of human engineering ever designed, unmatched by any other passenger plane, never to be enjoyed in full flight again.

Although, the last official flight of any Concorde was November 26, 2003, when G-BOAF (Alpha Foxtrot) took off from Heathrow to return to its original home of Filton Airfield north of Bristol, where it was the last Concorde ever built in 1979, and remains today.

Of course, any video of Concorde isn’t complete without the awesome noise it made during takeoff, and the Sonic Boom when it broke the sound barrier.
