The funny part about Gary Neville’s commentary on Chelsea

This was in the League Cup Final last night, after Virgil Van Dijk (Who himself cost 75 million Pounds) scored the winner for Liverpool in Extra Time:

“It’s been Klopp’s Kids against the Blue Billion Pound Bottlejobs.”

The funny fact about that line – The average age of Chelsea’s starting XI was 23.9 years of age, and Liverpool’s starting XI was 25.8 years of age…

Liverpool then subbed on a 27YO, 26YO, 21YO, 19YO, 19YO and an 18YO to bring their average age down to 24.34, while Chelsea subbed on a 26YO, 24YO, 23YO and a 21YO, meaning the age of all 15 players was 23.79 years of age.

But yes, Chelsea’s bench were INTERNATIONALLY CAPPED BOTTLERS.

Completely ignoring that European Cup and the Club World Cup they won 2 years, or should I say, 6 managers ago.
