Just a random thought after the NBA Finals

In 2014, Jaylen Brown (Who was then a High School student) made a legendary Tweet in which his high school teacher at Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia had (allegedly) predicted that he’d be in prison in 5 years:

In the time since then, Jaylen Brown has achieved the following distinctions:

Was rated as a 5-star recruit going into college in 2015, ultimately attending the University of California

Pac-12 Freshman of the Year playing for Cal

Played varsity chess for Cal

Was taken as a Top 3 pick in the NBA Draft

Voted as Vice President of the National Basketball Players’ Association at the age of 22

Lectured at Harvard University at the age of 21

Got offered a NASA internship

Served as an MIT Media Lab fellow

Founded the 7uice Foundation

Has been voted as an NBA All-Star 3 times

Signed the richest contract in NBA history in July 2023 (5 years, $304 million USD supermax contract with the Boston Celtics).

Was named as the Eastern Conference Finals MVP (The Larry Bird Trophy)

Won an NBA Championship with the Boston Celtics

Was named as the NBA Finals MVP (The Bill Russell Trophy)

Still, if he did go to jail in 2019, he’d have easily been the smartest man in his cell block.
