You know what I’m expecting the most from the Paris Olympic games

The constant playing of Ça Plane Pour Moi by Plastic Bertrand on various international broadcasts, because it’s just about the most popular French-speaking song in the Anglosphere…

Case in point, here’s an NBC Promo from the United States:

Even though the irony is that Plastic Bertrand is very much a Belgian from Brussels, and Plastic Bertrand seemingly admitted in 2010 that he didn’t even sing the 1977 record, which was actually his producer Lou Deprijck in the midst of a dispute.

Which apparently makes Plastic Bertrand the best French-speaking mime since Marcel Marceau.

Actually, that’s a lie, because Marcel Marceau didn’t speak.
