JT’s Succinct NRL Tips: 2025 Grand Final

Here we are friends, after 7 months of toil and weeks of shithouse tips, we have made it to yet another decider featuring the Melbourne Storm, as Craig Bellamy in his 11th Grand Final breaking Wayne Bennett’s record of 10 Grand Finals, with the Brisbane Broncos back in a rematch of the 2006 decider…

On another note, I hope Phil Gould makes a recovery… HE CAN’T JUST DISAPPEAR, RABBITS!

Anyway, last week showed that time had come full circle on the Penrith Panthers:

2021: Adam Reynolds misses a sideline conversion for Souths in the Grand Final against Penrith at Suncorp, the Panthers go on to win the game 14-12, beginning the streak of four consecutive premierships.

2025: Adam Reynolds hits a sideline conversion for the Broncos in a Preliminary Final against Penrith at Suncorp, the Broncos take the lead and go on to win 16-14, ending Penrith’s streak of four consecutive premierships, five consecutive Grand Final appearances and 14 consecutive finals victories.

The dynasty started at Lang Park.

It FINISHED at Lang Park.

It also ended Penrith’s streak of 98 consecutive wins when leading by 12+ points.

And now, due to time constraints caused by bowls events getting wiped out by rain, my editing schedule has gone to shit, so here’s the Succinct NRL Grand Final Tip:

Preliminary Finals Tips = 1/2

Progressive Score = 121/204 (59.3%)

My reasoning for picking the Broncos – There’s that smell about them, that team of destiny, but above all else…

I WANT IN ON MADGE’S WILD RIDE, ONE LAST TIME.

Anyway, to end the 2025 season of Succinct Tips, here’s U2:

Still, there is one stat that will hold Melbourne in good stead – They’ve never lost consecutive Grand Finals under Craig Bellamy.
