In honour of Jamie Dunn, here’s the outtakes of Agro’s Cartoon Connection

It’s been a terrible week for losing heroes of Australian television, obviously Dennis Cometti topping that list, but today we lost Jamie Dunn, the puppeteer who played the vulgar little piece of carpet known as Agro dating all the way back to 1982, in which time Dunn/Agro appeared on many TV programs, quite easily the best being Agro’s Cartoon Connections during the 1990s, in which Agro sent many of his female co-hosts through the ringer, most notably Ann-Maree Biggar, and then there was Terasa Livingstone, Hollie Brisley, ‘Ranger Stacey’ Thomson…

If you have seen them, those incidents produced outtakes that were more memorable than the show itself, some would say they are deadset filth, and just a reminder – This was an Australian children’s TV show in the 1990s… somehow, we are still yet to see somebody sue a puppet for sexual harassment.

“Geez, I reckon my hair would go like that if I had a pencil up my arse as well!”

Of course, there’s also a video of Agro and Ann-Maree full of moments that actually did make it to air, in which they were an even greater, and more memorable, on-air duo than Kyle and Jackie O ever were:

And we must remember that in addition to winning Logie Awards, Agro also released several records, among them the Don’t Go In the Dunny (After dad’s been in there):

A part of my childhood has gone… again.
