The Nigerians bite back at Liz Cambage

For those of you following to this stupid story in the world of basketball, former noteworthy Australian basketballer Liz Cambage, who among many things is a WNBA All-Star, WNBA single-game scoring record holder, and the first player to dunk single-handed at the Olympic Games, did an interview with Bleacher Report in which she attempted to address why she left the Los Angeles Sparks in 2022 (Apparently her teammates can’t pass), and an incident pre-Tokyo Olympics in which she was accused of physically and racially taunting Nigerian players during a warm-up game, an incident that ended her Australian career, but even with the video of the incident coming to light:

Cambage claimed she was putting a plan together (In cahoots to be exact) with the Nigerian Basketball Federation to switch countries and play internationally for Nigeria by the time of the Paris Olympics next year, made possible by her father hailing from Nigeria.

And believe you me, this Bleacher Report interview is as hilarious as it sounds in writing.

Well, in light of this, the Nigerians, courtesy of Nigerian sports journalist Colin Udoh and Nigeria’s Basketball Federation, have had the right of reply, and it is absolutely beautiful:

Confirming this is real

Yes, this is the quote that perfectly sums up Cambage’s chances of representing Nigeria:

“It would be easier for an elephant to pass through the eye of a needle, not even a camel.”

That’s gold Jerry, GOLD!
