The Central Coast Mariners becoming the first Australian team to win the AFC Cup, and they’ll be the only Australian team to ever win the AFC Cup because it’s being discontinued.

Australia is the only country to win the AFC Champions League (Western Sydney Wanderers in 2014), the AFC Cup (The Mariners yesterday), the AFC Asian Cup (2015 vs South Korea), and the AFC Women’s Asian Cup (vs China in 2010).

And we technically aren’t even an Asian country.
