Based on a series of plausible events in a regional Victorian town

Alright, the last weekend of August and Winter itself, there’s nothing positive to look forward to, so here’s a few things to happen of late:
John Singleton is selling off 57 lots from his Strawberry Hill stud as he scales back his thoroughbred interests after some 50 years in breeding, among them 8-time Group 1 winner More Joyous and VRC Oaks winner Dear Demi, which means we’ll soon see news of Gerry Harvey buying 57 horses from John Singleton at mate’s rates.
On another note, former Sky Racing presenter Chynna Marston and her partner Alex Kean were found guilty on 15 charges of animal welfare breaches, and if you ask me, this is what happens when you work for Sky Racing for too long – You lose all sense of moral decency, all sense of compassion towards animals, and resort to doing decadent things like chucking dead horses on bonfires, instead of turning them into school supplies for young children.
If you ask me, currently OnlyFans tipster Libby Hopwood was four steps ahead of her time getting the flick from that hellhole.
Now, looking at the events for this weekend, there’s the Carlyon Cup at Moonee Valley, Rosehill has a pair of Group 3s in the Up And Coming Stakes and the San Domenico Stakes, Morphetville has the Leon Macdonald Stakes, the first running of the race since Leon retired from training, and Belmont hosts the Idyllic Prince Stakes, a rare example of a Listed Weight for Age race, which will serve as the pre-game entertainment before Luke Shuey, Shannon Hurn and Nic Naitanui get a farewell at Optus Stadium.
And the other highlight of this week… THE NEWMAN CUP.
So it’s on to Crazy Craig, and last week the only thing sparing Craig from total annihilation was a superb performance from Aztec Ruler at Belmont..
And I would note that if you read right to the end, there was a mention of FANGIRL to win the Winx Stakes, which went surprisingly well as the Chris Waller mare walked it in, probably because she had a GOOD LUCK CHARM!
P(r)ick No.1: Robrick (No.3, Barrier 4) in Race 3 at Moonee Valley (MR3), 1:45pm AEST
1519m 3YO Corporate Membership on Sale Handicap
Trainers: Mick Price & Mick Kent Jnr, Jockey: Mark Zahra, 57kg
Hello hello everyone it’s Craaaaaazy Craig TBFB, Scratchie King of Bairnsdale, back for another Saturday after I delivered yet another winner to the down on their luck, and I believe there’s a golfing parlance for my efforts last week….
PAR FOR THE COURSE!
Anyway, that was last week and Saturday is Saturday, so we best start trying to keep our heads above water before the Westpac helicopter comes calling, and I start this week at the ole Death Valley, more specifically Race 3 at Death Valley, and I was wondering, what is a Robrick?
Based on what I’ve seen it’s some kind of a stud farm in New South Wales, or it could be some kind of a connection to someone named Rob or Rick…
Did Robert Palmer or Rick Springfield ever do a duet together?
Jessie’s Girl is Addicted to Love?
Anyway, here’s RobRick Springfield!
P(r)ick No.2: Griff (No.10, Barrier 8) E/W in Race 7 at Rosehill (SR7), 3:15pm AEST
1300m 3YO Group 3 Up And Coming Stakes
Trainers: Ciaron Maher & David Eustace, Jockey: Tyler Schiller, 53kg
The value pick for this week, a Ciaron Maher 3YO with the light weight, ran well 1st Up in the Rosebud despite being caught wife, and for all I know he’s named after Griff Rhys-Jones, one half of Smith & Jones!
P(r)ick No.3: Nerodio (No.4, Barrier 1) in Race 8 at Belmont, 4:55pm AWST
1300m Listed WFA Idyllic Prince Stakes
Trainer: Stephanie Bakranich, Jockey: William Pike, 59kg
NERODIO FIDDLED WHILE ROME BURNED….
I tried saying that last time and it did jack shit, so I’ve said it again, but this time I’ve added an image to explain why I’m picking Nerodio again, besides the fact he gets a superb weight swing on all of his rivals with the jump to Weight For Age.

He gains 4.5KG on Phanta after only going down by 2.5L a fortnight ago.
That’s crazy I tell you!
Enjoy your Saturday folks, stay safe, stay negative, GAMBLE WITHIN REASON, KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD, and remember, I’m Crazy Craig, and that’s why they call me Craaaaaazy Craig!
