Hello hello everybody it’s CRAAAAAAZY CRAIG, TBFB, Scratchie King of Bairnsdale, and let me tell you, I am bloody well delighted to see the Brisbane Lions back in the AFL Grand Final for another year!

It’s amazing, you wait 19 years to see the spiritual successor of Fitzroy in the Grand Final, and they go on and make it twice in a row!

And, it’s times like this that also give us the chance to remind ourselves that Fitzroy had a belter of a club song.

“We will always fight for victory, and we’ll always see it through, win or lose, we do or die, in defeat, we’ll always try, FITZROY, FITZROY, THE CLUB WE HOLD SO DEAR, PREMIERS WE’LL BE THIS YEAR!”

Compare that to pissy little South Melbourne’s club song with that boring arse banjo, which the Swans will try and pump up this afternoon, and it’s no wonder they’ve been so woefully unsuccessful in the last 90 years, to the point they had to relocate north of Moama due to the stench they’d created at Albert Park.

Anyway, why did I write all of that?

Well, not only is it Grand Final Day, but I wanted to distract you all from the fact that CRAIG is running again, in fact, CRAIG didn’t run at all last week at Caulfield, because he was being saved for the Half Time entertainment of the AFL Grand Final, which happens to be the Sandown Stakes at Sandown!

The Sandown Stakes at Sandown… the kind of race this fella would hate:

That said, it’s a shame it’s not Grand Final Day 2023, because this run by CRAIG could’ve been a tribute pick to Premiership coach CRAIG McRae, who just happened to also win 3 premierships with the Brisbane Lions…

But instead, I’ll make it a tribute to Brandon Starcevich’s uncle CRAIG Starcevich, who himself played in Collingwood’s 1990 premiership team before he began a long and highly successful run in Brisbane, and given the occasion, I’ll point out that CRAIG Starcevich has been involved in every single Brisbane Lions premiership across the AFL and AFLW.

You may think that’s CRAZY, but it’s a fact – He was the fitness coach for the 2001, 2002 and 2003 premierships, plus the 2004 Grand Final, and was the head coach for the 2021 and 2023 AFLW premierships….

In fact, he’s the only coach the Lions’ AFLW team has ever had.

Now enough of that rubbish, here’s CRAIG David!

I would put someone other than Craig David in there…

But for the life of me, I only know one singer named Craig, and it’s Craig David.
