Hello hello friends, Crazy Craig TBFB here, ahead of the FIRST Group 1 of 2025, the time-honoured CF Orr Stakes, a race that was half a chance of returning to Sandown after the damage some gumnut inflicted on the Caulfield Members’ Stand, but after a faster rebuild than the one Craig McRae gave Collingwood, they’re back up and running!

And as for this week’s pick, we’re sticking with the Group 1 CF Orr, and for whatever reason, other than the fact I’m a stark-raving nutter, we’re going for the Manikato Stakes winner 2nd Up, the mighty SOUTHPORT TYCOON, who could be named after Clive Palmer, or it could just be a connection to his sire Written Tycoon, but it makes me wonder…

Does this Tycoon dive in coins like the greatest Tycoon of them all, Scrooge McDuck?

Or is he a complete tightwad, like Mr Burns…

Actually in hindsight, if I had to waste a dollar trying to back Southport Tycoon to make myself happy, I think I’d be happier keeping the dollar.
