Based on a series of plausible events in a regional Victorian town

On to the last month of the season, and today marks the Sunshine Coast Cup and the Winx Guineas, and 10 years ago the former Sunshine Coast Guineas was the race that kickstarted Winx’s record run of 33 consecutive victories, and Larry Cassidy produced one of the most memorable over the top victories in Australian racing, especially with what the mare achieved afterwards:
It was the only time in those 33 wins that Hugh Bowman didn’t ride Winx.
Other races on Saturday include the Winter Championship series final at Flemington, the Winter Stakes at Rosehill, and in WA this Beaufine Stakes meeting at Pinjarra will be the first Saturday of WA racing broadcast on Racing.com, as the long push to get WA racing onto free to air TV pays off…
Only problem is, they have to go to Pinjarra.
As an added bonus, the Marble Bar Cup is also on Racing.com, which will almost certainly mark the first time anyone in Marble Bar has seen a television.
Now, it’s on to Crazy Craig, and I do believe he found a winner last week as Autumn Boy triumphed in the winter at Eagle Farm, but this week he’s a bit busy with moving furniture, so he had to find something that may have something to do with the Wizard of Odds himself… can’t wait.
The Ken Callander Special: Stylish Secret (No.4, Barrier 5) E/W in Race 7 at Flemington (MR7), 3:30pm AEST
2500m 3YO Quality Mahogany Challenge Final
Trainer: Mick Nolan, Jockey: Luke Cartwright (a), 57kg
Hello hello friends it’s Craaaazy Craig TBFB, Scratchie King of Bairnsdale, and after last week’s winner the $50 notes are back on the footpaths of Bairnsdale, waiting to be picked up by mothers in prams, and the down on their luck are sated by the thrill of getting their own scratchies…
Paved with gold in East Gippsland!
Anyway, this week I do have to help Crazy Colin move some furniture, so I’ve randomly decided to go for a bit of value at Flemington, with a horse in the 3YO staying race trained by Mick Nolan, who was a premiership ruckman for North Melbourne in the 1970s, and I also decided to pick it for no reason other than the fact that it has a name that would be right up Ken Callander’s ally…
Shtylish Shecret in Race Sheven, Tappy!

If you don’t get a pimple on your tongue after that lot old son, fair dinkum, it’ll be a MIRACLE!
Enjoy your Saturday folks, stay safe, stay negative, GAMBLE WITHIN REASON, KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD, and remember, I’m Crazy Craig, and that’s why they call me Craaaaaazy Craig!
