Based on a series of plausible events in a regional Victorian town

The Horses’ birthday edition of Saturday racing, also the day for the National Jockey’s Trust and their Jockey Celebration Day, with a Flemington meeting featuring the Group 3 Aurie’s Star meeting at Flemington, Rosehill is full of dodgy BM78 races that belong in the midweeks, Eagle Farm and Murray Bridge exist, and another top move from WA Racing on Thursday is that having come back for a week, the Belmont meeting has been moved to Pinjarra due to a forecast of heavy rain (15-30mm), which almost certainly would’ve wiped the meeting out after 1-2 races.
Yeah, bloody brilliant – They keep Belmont as a winter track, yet the track is so rooted they can’t use it when it gets a downpour, and on top of that, THEY ABANDONED IT AFTER THE MARKETS HAD BEEN RELEASED.
And the caviar on top is they moved it to Pinjarra, where the forecast for Saturday is…. 20 to 35mm of rain.
It goes to show, the second my old neighbour Tim ‘The Tool Man’ Walker finished up with WA Racing on Thursday, they went down the toilet.
Unsurprising.
So it’s on to Crazy Craig, and what a performance last week, as Want A Winner gave him a WINNER at Belmont…. must’ve been those LUCKY LIPS!
As I’ve said to many people, I think the reason Sir Cliff isn’t even close to dropping off the perch is that God doesn’t want to meet his biggest fan.
P(r)ick No.1: Splash Back (No.11, Barrier 9) in Race 7 at Flemington (MR7), 3:50pm AEST
1200m Group 3 Aurie’s Star Handicap
Trainer: Grahame Begg, Jockey: Tom Prebble (a), 54kg
Hello, and I had quite a scene this week, as outside in the middle of the street two grown men, one of them could’ve been Crazy Colin, were arguing with some very choice words, then one of them produced a line I hadn’t heard for some time….
“I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE!”
To which the mate replied
“I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE AS WELL!”
So I thought to myself ‘Shit, when did Danny Nikolic move to Bairnsdale!’

Splish Splash Back, I was takin’ a bath!
P(r)ick No.2: Herbert Park (No.10, Barrier 3) E/W in Race 10 at Rosehill (SR10), 4:45pm AEST
1100m BM78 Handicap
Trainer: Tony Noonan, Jockey: Jake Noonan, 56kg
Heavy 8 track.
2/2 on Heavy going.
2 wins and a placing from 4 runs on Soft tracks.
I think it’s worth a look at Herbert the Pervert!
P(r)ick No.3: Dun With The Blues (No.3, Barrier 8) in Race 6 at Pinjarra (CR6), 4:05pm AWST (6:05)
2200m 66+ Rating Handicap
Trainers: Daniel & Ben Pearce, Jockey: Zephen Johnston-Porter (a3), 59kg
Zephen Johnston-Porter… the sequel to The Hyphenator, Clint Johnston-Porter.
Dun with the Blues?
Yes, I’m bloody sick to death of watching Carlton in shithouse prime time games!
Enjoy your Saturday folks, stay safe, stay negative, GAMBLE WITHIN REASON, KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD, and remember, I’m Crazy Craig, and that’s why they call me Craaaaaazy Craig!
