Forget about visiting a couple of wineries or breweries, your visit to the South West of WA isn’t complete without trip to the fine establishment known as Margaret River Venison, where you can buy everything from game, to local gourmet produce, to various by-products of deer, and the beloved South African staple of Billtong.
In short, it’s the kind of place that would make a militant vegetarian vomit the second they saw it.

After stepping inside past the deer antlers on sale, I noticed one of the signature items in the fresh meat section was called the Coat Of Arms Kransky, which, as the name suggests, is made of Kangaroo and Emu, because one of the many things to make Australia unique is that we view our coat of arms as both a source of pride, and a source of food.
Rather hilariously, what I didn’t realise at the time is that the packet I took a photo of expires on Australia Day:

A truly Australian kranksy.
