Tips for the Essendon Baby Racing: Get on the blonde kid in the black hoodie next start
Have a look at the way he picked up after his mum showed him the persuader, I mean the iPhone…. He put 2 lengths on them without trying!
So there’s only 2 Saturdays to go in the 2021-22 season before the horses have their birthday, and this week’s groundbreaking racing story is that Racing NSW Kaiser Peter V’Landys is upset with the New South Wales Government for scheduling a Bruno Mars concert at the SFS on the same day as The Everest at Randwick, and the fact it might divide the audience.
Hahahahahaha, Peter V’Landys complaining about dividing an audience, when he specifically moved The Everest to Caulfield Cup Day.
And, I thought Peter would be happy to see Bruno Mars come to Sydney, because he’s the only quality international Sydneysiders will get to witness this Spring.
Now, the half-interesting races this weekend include today’s Mildura Cup, the Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes at Caulfield, a launching pad for many horses ahead of the Spring Carnival in 6 weeks time, which also sees the return of one Damian Lane to Australia after conquering Japan, the Winter Challenge at Randwick, and the HG Bolton Sprint at Belmont, which will be held in the shadow of Manchester United playing Aston Villa next door at Optus Stadium.
So with that out of the way here’s Crazy Colin, who finally picked up a winner after what must’ve been between 6 to 9 attempts, bringing his strike rate to a solid 13%, placing him in the Top 25,000,000 tipsters in Australia, so let’s see if he can move into the Top 24,999,999 tipsters in Australia this week, as Gnarls Barkley serenades him with Crazy!
Hello hello everyone it’s Crazy Colin here, and this week in Bairnsdale has been just like every other week with yours truly and my nuts mate Crazy Craig…
WE’VE GOT NO IDEA WHAT WE’RE DOING!
Well, Craig does have some idea of what he’s doing, and it usually involves sneaking into my back garden every morning when there’s more frost than grass, AND STEALING MY BLOODY TOMATOES, YOU THIEVING BASTARD!
Anyway, fresh of my mighty win last week, with Squid Game winning by a split lip at $1.90, here’s a few picks this week, and I tell you what, I’m CONFIDENT!
The Beatles Pick of the Day: Jojo Was A Man (No.12, Barrier 5) in Race 8 at Randwick (SR8), 3:25pm AEST
1500m Listed ATC Foundation Winter Challenge
Trainer: John Thompson, Jockey: ‘David’ Reece Jones, 53kg
I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, and with a last start winner with no weight against horses 1st Up on a bog, I figure now’s a great chance….
Jojo Was A Man who thought he was a loner, but he knew it couldn’t last
Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona, for some California grass
GET BACK, GET BACK, GET BACK to where you once belonged!
Value Pick: Sigh (No.6, Barrier 4) E/W in Race 7 at Caulfield (MR7), 3:45pm AEST
1200m 3YF Stow Storage Solutions Handicap
Trainer: Peter Moody, Jockey: Linda Meech, 54kg
Arguably should still be unbeaten after 3 starts, but Sigh copped a shit steer last start when she had a chance to peel out 3-wide in clear air, but instead she stayed inside was held up at the 300m and never got a chance to let down, causing the entire world to copy her name and sigh.
If she’s recovered from the mental anguish of that run, she’ll be back in the hunt in Race 7.
Piss Poor Perth Punting: The Spruiker (No.7, Barrier 2) E/W in Race 8 at Belmont (PR8), 4:20pm AWST
1200m Listed HG Bolton Sprint
Trainer: Steve Wolfe, Jockey: Peter Knuckey, 54.5kg
Drops from 60.5kg down to 54.5kg, 2nd Up record is 3 wins from 3 starts, and with the near certainty of a soggy track he’s got a superb record of 2 wins from 3 attempts on Soft ground, and 2 wins from 2 attempts on Heavy ground…
I think he’ll be doing a bit of spruiking in the finish, knackers!
So that’s all from me, and as always friends, stay safe, look after each other…. and don’t steal your neighbour’s tomatoes, but do feel free to drink his beer!
