You may think you’ve won, but not really

Last one for the year, Pele has left the building, the Perth Cup is on Sunday, so here’s some appropriate New Year’s Eve music, via a small Scandinavian band.
Pick of the Day: Matron Bullwinkel (No.3, Barrier 11) in Race 4 at Moonee Valley (MR4), 2:20pm AEDT
2040m BM70 Handicap
Trainers: Ciaron Maher & David Eustace, Jockey: Matthew Cartwright (a1.5), 59.5kg
Hello hello everyone it’s Craaaaazy Craig, TBFB Scratchie King of Bairnsdale, back for one last edition of the Picks of the Day for 2022, before I get no bloody rest and have to do the same old shit next year!
Anyway, it turned out last week’s Pick of the Day Riverplate wasn’t like Argentina, because he had a HEART AS BIG AS A PEA and couldn’t run down a 50/1 shot in a 600 metre match race, so he doesn’t even crack a rating from yours truly despite managing to run in the Top 2…
So having learned nothing at all, I’m going straight back to good old Death Valley on New Year’s Eve, because I do think it will very entertaining watching Matron Bullwinkel try and pull a rabbit out of her hat and win the 4th on the card!
Nothing up my sleeve… Presto!
And now here’s something we hope you’ll really like – MATRON BULLWINKEL, my PICK OF THE DAY!
The Tony Bennett Value Pick: Tony Be (No.4, Barrier 10) E/W in Race 7 at Randwick (SR7), 4pm AEDT
2000m BM78 Fujitsu General Handicap
Trainer: Chris Waller, Jockey: Jason Collett, 59.5kg
On to the Value Pick, and I think Chris Waller might be a fan of crooners, because he’s got a nag named after one the last great crooners from the Golden Age of crooners….
The man who left his heart in San Francisco, Tony Be!
Last year, Tony B set a Guinness World Record by being the oldest person to release an album of new material (95 years, 60 days)…
This year, Tony Be won a Benchmark 72 at Rosehill.
Enjoy your New Year folks, stay safe, stay negative, KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD, and remember, I’m Crazy Craig, and that’s why they call me Craaaaaazy Craig!
