TA will probably make back that $80 million they lost over the last 2 years in ticket sales alone, because today’s Day 1 attendance shat on the old record from 2017 by a good 5,520 patrons:

And that’s despite losing more big-name fish than Rex Hunt, which goes to show that apparently, Victorians love sport.
Although, we will have to wait until we get tomorrow’s numbers, because the attendance could drop by a good 50,000 thanks to people being disappointed they won’t be able to cram into John Cain Arena to watch Nick Kyrgios play.
