The Raiders celebrate Ricky Stuart’s 500th game as a coach with a record-breaking performance

By losing 40-0 against the Cronulla Sharks in Canberra, the Raiders have ended their 277-game scoring streak that dated back to Round 3, 2013, which was the longest scoring streak entirely during the NRL era (1998-) and the ninth-longest in First Grade history.

Still, it’s not even the longest scoring streak in the Raiders’ history, as they scored points in 361 consecutive games between Round 20 of 1987 to Round 6 of 2002 (The 2nd-longest streak in league history), a run that included all 3 of their premiership wins, the 1987 and 1991 Grand Final defeats, and Ricky Stuart’s entire playing career with the Raiders.

Also, that shutout against Balmain in Round 19 that preceded the streak was the only shutout of Laurie Daley’s 245-game career… it was his third game.
