Crazy Craig’s Picks of the Day: 18th July

Based on a series of plausible events in a regional Victorian town

I got a note from Crazy Craig during the week that he’s been to see the GP with a bad case of WORLD CUP FEVER, because he mentioned that he got up to watch France play Spain on Wednesday morning, then got up to watch the Falklands rematch of England vs Argentina on Thursday morning, and despite knowing **** all about football, he felt that the English stuffed up when they didn’t send on their super sub…

THE HMS CONQUEROR.

On that note, I wonder if Cliff Richard is still popular in Port Stanley…

The Iron Maiden Pick: (2 Minutes To) Midnight Dynamite (No.8, Barrier 6) in Race 9 at Rosehill, 4:05pm AEST

1500m Listed Winter Challenge

Trainer: Bjorn Baker, Jockey: Tommy Berry, 57kg

Hello hello everybody it’s Craaaazy Craig TBFB, Scratchie King of Bairnsdale, and I was looking for some World Cup omen bets this weekend, but the only one I really saw was a horse called SAINT GEORGE in Race 8 at Flemington…

But it made sense, the country with the Cross of Saint George shit themselves at the worst bloody time, AGAIN, so I couldn’t use it for the World Cup Final Omen Bet!

Typical England, they can’t win the Ashes and the last time they made the World Cup Final, The Beatles were still touring!

Anyway, I’ve seen something else I liked on Saturday, and it works because I’m also a fan of IRON MAIDEN, still going strong after 51 years as one of the icons of British Heavy Metal alongsid, travelling the world on ED FORCE ONE, compared to me who travels in the Crazy Craig Corolla, and in the feature race at Rosehill there’s a horse called Midnight Dynamite, and if you remember one of Iron Maiden’s great hits is 2 MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT…

2 MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT DYNAMITE!

Coincidentally, 2 minutes to midnight is when I’ve been getting up to watch most games during this FIFA World Cup.

The Charley Pride Pick: Two Time Charlie (No.3, Barrier 1) E/W in Race 5 at Belmont (PR5), 3:23pm AWST (5:23)

1650m 59+ Rating Graduation Handicap

Trainer: Michael Grantham, Jockey: Clint Johnston-Porter, 58kg

He saluted a fortnight ago, and once again remember that on Saturday morning you’ve got to…

KISS AN ANGEL GOOD MORNIN’.

Enjoy your weekend folks, stay safe, stay negative, KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD, and remember, I’m Crazy Craig, and that’s why they call me Craaaaaazy Craig!
