Race Four Four Four, how do you like it, how do you like it.
Irish Songs in Race 2 at Randwick – 4th
Ran on alright, but was never a really winning chance, so to quote an Irish Song, no, I don’t have to let it linger.
Ultimately, Port Macquarie’s Marc Quinn and Gumshoe won this edition of the Highway.
Vega One in Race 4 at Eagle Farm – WON
Vega One by name, Vega Won by nature.
After a bit of a horror watch in the Fred Best, Blake Shinn replaced James McDonald, and on the hottest of hot pots at the Farm, he pretty much won the race in transit, jumping cleanly, rolling forward to sit 3rd in the run, and then in the straight, Shinn pushed Vega to the lead at the 200m, and the best horse in the race did the rest.
It turned out to be a good afternoon for Blake- Vega was his second in a treble of wins.
Last Week in Race 4 at Flemington- 3rd
Jye McNeil rode two winners today.
Unfortunately, Last Week just wasn’t one of them.
With about 100m to go,Last Week led and looked like a serious chance of actually winning, but in further proof that he’s an absolute milk drinker, he was run down by the bloody despised outsider Flow Meter.
Who in turn, was run down by Chouxting the Mob, who could be used as proof that Damien Oliver is the equine Christ.
CRAZY CRAIG’S TIP OF THE DAY
LAYING Jungle Edge in Race 4 at Randwick- Successful
The Crazy Craig Army came for Jungle Edge in the 20 hours between his re-emergence and the start of the race, and the old boy was out to $5 by the jump, and after going Helter Skelter out in front, Craig was licking his lips as Sesar went right through the gap from the rear of the field, and dropped a log on everyone to score the best win of the day at Randwick.
If you ask me, the Macedon Madman is back in form.
