The Updated Pictorial Evolution Of Ash Barty’s Many Many Trophies

Started by conquering a rain-soaked Ipswich hardcourt with the greatest winning pose in Australian tennis history:

Said ‘Merci’ to Roland Garros for the Coupe Suzanne Lenglen, ending Australia’s 46 year singles drought in Paris

She picked up the WTA Tour Finals trophy along the way

A few years later, she wandered over to Wimbledon, wearing a white scallop skirt paying tribute to Evonne Goolagong Cawley, and picked up a lovely Venus Rosewater Dish:

And on the 100th anniversary of the inaugural Women’s Singles event at what is now the Australian Open, she became the first Australian, man or woman, to win an AO singles title since Chris O’Neil in 1978:

And I thought it was fantastic to see that Ash even had the time to take a deadly photo with a couple of her adoring fans:
