Special guest tipster: David Noble

So we’re on to the middle of July, and I am so thoroughly bored of the races at this time of year, that I quite literally did not watch a single race this week…
Which is usually how I do my form anyway.
Over the past week we got to witness Artorious do what he always does, running on for 3rd in the July Cup at Newmarket last Saturday after looking totally gone at the 400 metres, confirming his status as an almighty tease….
Then there was the flattening news that Caulfield Cup winner Incentivise won’t be featuring in the Spring, yet another hammer blow to our staying ranks, which are now so thin they make Victoria’s Secret models look overweight, and it now means Duais is the Melbourne Cup favourite, just shy of 3 months until the race.
Anyway, I’ve got nothing else to say, so here’s Crazy Colin for this week, fresh off his first placing this month, and he told me on Wednesday that due to his investigation of thievery in his own garden (I think we know who the culprit is), he’s just going to give the tips, and “Piss off after that”, providing no explanation for his thoughts.
So on that note, here’s Crazy Colin, and to musically accompany him, it’s Linda Ronstadt’s version of Crazy!
Value Pick: Soaring Like an Eagle (No.5, Barrier 5) E/W in Race 3 at Flemington (MR5), 1:10pm AEST
1600m Fillies & Mares BM70 RMBL Investments Rising Stars Final
Trainer: David Brideoake, Jockey: Celine Gaudray (a3), 61kg
Hello hello everyone it’s Crazy Colin, I wish I could stay and give an explanation, but there’s a giant rabbit in my back garden who looks suspiciously like an adult human male!
CRAIG, GET OUT OF MY BLOODY GARDEN!
Anyway, Soaring Eagle is a last start winner on a soft track at Sandown, obviously it is an apprentices race so you are prone to error, but I reckon Soaring Eagle is going to run a big race!
Pick of the Day: Squid Game (No.9, Barrier 6) in Race 6 at Flemington (MR6), 3pm AEST
1000m BM78 Sir Eugene Gorman Handicap
Trainer: Patrick Payne, Jockey: Craig Williams, 56kg
Race 6, No.9…
Sounds like some kind of Sex Position!
Heavy Tracker Pick: Snowzone (No.1, Barrier 9) E/W in Race 10 at Rosehill (SR9), 4:40pm AEST
1100m BM78 Handicap
Trainer: Kris Lees, Jockey: Tyler Schiller (a2), 61.5kg
Never placed in 5 starts at Rosehill…. But I’m a lunatic, so what do I care!
Let it Snowzone, Let it Snowzone, Let it Snowzone!
So that’s all from me, and as always friends, stay safe, look after each other…. and don’t steal your neighbour’s tomatoes!
And don’t be a Richmond player trying to defend a 4 goal lead with 8 minutes to go!
