The ANZAC Day game was appropriate symbol for this sombre day of commemoration

Young men throwing their bodies at each other in waves, trying to gain small pieces of ground in a clash of attrition, full of tactical blunders along the way…

And in the end, the game finished in a frustrating stalemate, to the sound of stunned silence.

They say war is a game that nobody wins… so is the ANZAC Day Game once every 29 years.
