Crazy Craig’s Tip Of The Day: 9th January

Pictured: Craig and Crazy Colin enjoying a night out at Cranbourne

For those of you who read my little PSA yesterday, remember how I said Crazy Craig emailed me back and said he was going to send me his tip for tomorrow, even if I wasn’t posting a Chalk Eaters Guide?

Well, he did it anyway, so here’s his favourite theme song – Cliff Richard with Lucky Lips:

Mosh Music (No.3, Barrier 3) in Race 6 at Flemington, 5:20pm AEDT

2000m Lexus Handicap

Trainer: Archie Alexander, Jockey: Jordan Childs, 56.5kg

G’day folks, it’s Crazy Craig, The Boy From Bairnsdale, going through the motions down here south of Australia’s biggest leper colony, and if you think seeing those deranged Seppos storm the Capitol Building was disturbing, you should’ve seen the scenes in the Crazy Cave yesterday afternoon when Crazy Colin stormed my fridge while we were watching the cricket!

I kid you not, that craaaaaazy bugger almost shattered my screen doors with his elbow trying to get outside to grab a Carlton Draught!

Stick to stealing hamburgers please Col!

Anyway folks, I’m ignoring everything else going on in the world, and I’m heading back to Headquarters this Saturday, and instead of backing $2 pops like a deadset milk drinker, I’m looking at this Ballarat-trained mare Mosh Music in Race 6, and I could be wrong, but I think Mosh Music was a song by Adam Ant.

Now, when you look at the form guide, Mosh Music’s stats this prep will show that she’s run a boring arse 7th followed by a 6th in a Listed race on Boxing Day at Caulfield, but I’d like to point out that 6th included the FASTEST final 800m/600m/400m sectionals OF ANY HORSE at Caulfield on Boxing Day!

And it was over 1700m, on a day where Pandemic flew home over 1200m!

How crazy is that!

I’d also like to point out that Mosh Music has a career record of 7 wins from 12 starts, and going further, she’s had 3 starts over the 2000m for 2 wins and a 3rd placing, which suggests it’s her best distance!

Now I don’t know anything about the other horses in the race, mainly because I can’t be bothered wasting time reading about them, so I’ve got to guess that because Mosh Music is favourite at $3.60, they’re all crap, so I’m expecting Mosh Music to get back on the big track, wind up late, and with the 3rd Up fitness, be right in the finish of this one!

There you go folks – Mosh Music – MY PICK OF THE DAY.

I’m Crazy Craig, and that’s why they call me Craaaaaaaaazy Craig!
